Effective May 1, 2013, TVA will implement Intra-Hour Scheduling on the quarter hours in support of Variable Energy Resources, as outlined in FERC Order 764. See posted Business Practice Intra-Hour Scheduling.

TVA will only accommodate requests for new e-Tags or for e-Tag adjustments that are scheduled to begin or end on the quarter hours (e.g., 00:00, 00:15, 00:30, and 00:45). Reliability Requests—Emergency Tags, Curtailments, and Reloads—will be treated as exceptions and handled as practicable within the bounds of reliable system operations.

    __________________________updated 4/2/2013 rgw__________________________

On March 31, 2013, TVA will make effective revised versions of its Transmission Reliability Margin Implementation Document (TRMID), Available Transfer Capability Implementation Document (ATCID), and Capacity Benefit Margin Implementation Document (CBMID).

The revisions continue to meet the requirements of NERC reliability standards MOD-004-1, MOD-008-1, and MOD-030-2. The TRMID, ATCID, and CBMID may be found in the ATC Information Link folder on the left. The CBMID also may be found in the CBM folder.

Effective October 1, 2011, TVA will implement new Facility Connection Requirements.

The TVA facility connection requirements for generation, transmission, and end-user facilities have been updated to meet the requirements of applicable NERC standards, specifically FAC-002-1, R1.1.4, effective on October 1, 2011. Updated facility connection requirements documents may be found in the Transmission Planning--Facility Connection Requirements folder on the left.

Effective July 1, 2011, the TVA-Duke interface will be split into two tie points, TVA-DUK and TVA-TAP, to accommodate a new TSP in the TVA Balancing Area.

The Tapoco Division of Alcoa Power Generating Inc., has filed for approval with FERC and plans to register with NERC as a Transmission Service Provider.  Tapoco will operate under the acronym of TAP.  TAP will be a POR and POD on the TVA OASIS system and the TSP between TVA and DUK for the Santeetlah-Robbinsville tie point.  Under normal conditions each interface will have a Path Cap Scheduling Limit of 335 MWs.
