FOUR CORNERS 1AA 500/345KV XFMR (PATH 23) OUTAGE

Starting on Tuesday 1/26/2010 at 0700 and going through Thursday 2/18/2010 ending at 1500 MST: APS will take Four Corners 1AA 500/345kV Transformer out of service, this is to replace one phase of the Transformer and Relay upgrade. During this equipment outage Path 23 will be curtailed to 0 (Zero). Please be advised that any tag that is submitted using a POR/POD of FOURCORNE345/ELDORADO500 and ELDORADO500/FOURCORNE345 or FOURCORNE345/MOENKOPI500 and MOENKOPI500/FOURCORNE345 with the CISO as TP will be denied due to the path being out of service. With the 1AA 500/345KV transformer out of service, the only path available to take the Four Corners 5 generation out is the FOURCORNE345/MOENKOPI500 path with the CISO as TP. The normally used 345KV path will not be available to the Four Corners 5 unit. October 20, 2009

Generator Interconnection to 500 kV Hassayampa-North Gila Line and 500 kV Busses of the North Gila Substation

Arizona Public Service Company is a joint owner of the 500 kV Hassayampa-North Gila Line and the 500 kV busses of the North Gila Substation. Consistent with its obligations under the Federal Power Act and its open access transmission tariff, APS is authorized to and will accept and process interconnection requests to such facilities, notwithstanding positions taken by the California Independent System Operator in a Technical Bulletin issued October 2, 2009. APS disagrees with the positions expressed by the California Independent System Operator in the referenced Technical Bulletin
Need Transmission with NO pancaked rates?*

The Pricing Experiment is LIVE!!!

WestConnect members are making it easier for you to move your energy! Go to OASIS, click on the WC Wizard, enter the POR and POD and find the Hourly Non-firm transmission service available at the Regional Rate. Select the service you wish to buy and off you go. Before you buy and use the Regional Transmission product, make sure you’ve done your homework . . . •Have you executed the new, Non-Firm Annex A service agreement with all the WestConnect Pricing Experiment Regional TPs (AZPS, EPE, NEVP, PNM, PSCO, SWTC, TSGT, WACM, & WALC)? Check with your regular contracts person at each TP to obtain the new service agreement. •Have you established creditworthiness with each Regional TP? •Have you obtained the service through the OASIS/WC Wizard button? •Have you followed the proper E-Tagging procedures for all entities involved in the path? A few things to remember along the way . . . •Only Hourly, Non-Firm service is available with the Regional Rate •Sorry, but no renewals, resales, or redirects are allowed. •All Regional TPs in the path have to approve the reservation before going to a CONFIRMED state . . . so be patient. . . •You can only request the regional service through the WC Wizard interface on OASIS. •Confirmed TSR will have a $.09/MWh administrative fee added on your bill, in addition to the cost of the transmission. * Losses and scheduling fees for each regional TP will still be charged.

The TS-9 (Morgan)to Pinnacle Peak 500KV project, as referenced in the 2009-2018 APS Ten-Year Plan ("APS Plan"), may not be completed by the June 1, 2010 planned "in service" date due to construction delays. Information regarding this project is located on page 17 of the APS Plan, as filed with the Arizona Corporate Commission.

Within the Tariff folder, under Effective Rates, the formula rate schedule documentation spreadsheet is available.

Additionally, under Tariff, Effective Rates, the rates to be effective and apply to all services starting from June 1, 2009 until June 1, 2010, is available as the 06.01.09 Effective Formula Rates link.
