SaskPower Interconnection Available Transfer Capability

The available transfer capabilities (ATC) for SaskPower's interconnections are posted on the OATI OASIS site. These may be viewed by selecting the Offerings link, ensuring TP & Sell filters are set to SPC with other filters you may choose. When entered the display will return the Transmission Offering Summary for SPC

. Note: to access this OASIS site the x.509 compliant Digital Certificate is required.

The Alberta - Saskatchewan interconnection has an automatic power runback scheme. The existence of this scheme leads to a large TRM and a small amount of Firm ATC at the SPC to Alberta (PPOA) interface.

The interfaces with Manitoba (MH.230) and with North Dakota (WAUE) are interdependent. The ATC values shown are NOT allowable simultaneously as indicated below:

  1. Reservations on the WAUE-SPC interface will reduce the ATC on the MH.230-SPC interface.
  2. Reservations on the MH.230-SPC interface will reduce the ATC on the WAUE-SPC interface.

Refer to the OATT Attachment C for further information on transfer capability definitions and methodology.
