Load Forecast Input and Assumptions

Duke Energy Florida uses services provided by WSI, Inc., a corporation that provides proprietary weather forecasts for weather stations relevant to the areas in which it provides transmission service. These forecasts provide information on dry bulb temperature, cloud cover, dew point, wind direction and wind speed. Load forecasts beyond 7 days utilize historical daily and monthly peak loads and assume an approximate 2% annual increase per year to account for load growth.
