12/01/2009: OATT Revision Filed with FERC, Effective
Date of December 1, 2009:
Western Area Power
Administration submitted its revised Open Access Transmission Service
Tariff with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on September 30,
2009. The new tariff becomes effective on December 1, 2009. The new
revised tariff was developed to comply with FERC Order No. 890 and to be
consistent with Western’s statutory and regulatory requirements. It
addresses changes in transmission services and planning. The updated OATT (both
clean and redline versions) and FERC generated PDF documents for these filings
are included in the "Tariff" folder.
For the list of documents due to this change, please see the documents
under the listed folders: FERC Order
890, Network Customers, Transmission Planning Process, and Business
Practices.

9/10/2007: FERC
Order 890 Compliance
Due to the substantial changes
to the Pro-Forma OATT made by Order 890, Western Area Power Administration will
need to engage in a public process with its customers and the general public
prior to making an Order 890 filing.
Western will make a future filing to address the changes necessary as a
result of Order 890. However, in the
interim Western will continue to work with the industry and complying with the
spirit and intent of Order 890 when feasible.
1/25/2005: OATT Revision & LGIP Agreement:
The Western Area Power Administration (Western) has filed a
revised Open Access Transmission Service Tariff (Tariff) with the Federal
Energy Regulatory Commission. Western’s existing Tariff was approved by the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission) on April 12, 2002. Western updated certain Tariff
provisions, adopted the principal features of the Commission’s Standard Large
Generator Interconnection Procedures (LGIP) and Standard Large Generator
Interconnection Agreement (LGIA) consistent with applicable law, and made additional
changes to further Western’s mission and transmission marketing efforts. The
revised Tariff, a summary of changes made to its existing Tariff, and
information about the tariff revision process is posted on Western’s Web site
at http://www.wapa.gov/oatt.htm
